To Skype είναι ένα πρόγραμμα τύπου MSN Messenger. Chat δηλαδή με άλλους τους οποίους πρέπει να γνωρίζεις από πριν την ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση τους. Ωστόσο το skype περιέχει και ένα μηχανισμό αναζήτησης για να μπορείς να βρίσκεις κάποιους που ξέρεις username τους ή το email τους. Το skype είναι ιδανικό εργαλείο για τηλεδιασκέψεις.

Το Skype είναι ένα πρόγραμμα Φωνής επί διαδικτυακού πρωτοκόλλου της Microsoft(πλέων) που επιτρέπει βιντεοκλήσεις, κλήσεις και ομαδικές κλήσεις ανάμεσα σε TV(Προϋπόθεση: app store και κάμερα), PS VITA, Android, iOS, Symbian, Mac, Linux, Windows 🙂 Εκτός αυτού μπορείς να πάρεις κλήση κάποιο σταθερό(και από εξωτερικό) τηλέφωνο ή και να στείλεις SMS! Στο Skype μπορείς να στείλεις IM(Άμεσα μηνύματα/chat), αρχεία και κοινή χρήση οθόνης! Τέλος μπορείς να βάλεις πρόσθετα(πχ μεταφραστές) κλπ! Άλλες εφαρμογές του Skype είναι το Skype WiFi και το Qik! 😀
