Ο Διεθνής Αριθμός Τραπεζικού Λογαριασμού ή IBAN (International Bank Account Number) όπως αποκαλείται, είναι μια σειρά από αλφαριθμητικούς χαρακτήρες που προσδιορίζει μοναδικά τον λογαριασμό σας, εξασφαλίζοντας έτσι την ταυτοποίηση των τραπεζικών σας στοιχείων τόσο κατά την ενδοσυνοριακή όσο και κατά την διασυνοριακή μεταφορά κεφαλαίων.
Το IBAN είναι μοναδικό για κάθε λογαριασμό και μπορεί να δημιουργηθεί μόνο από την τράπεζα που διαχειρίζεται το λογαριασμό.
