Αρχική ημερομηνία είχε προγραμματιστεί το Σάββατο 22 Μαίου αλλά λόγω του οτι συνέπεφτε με τον τελικό του πανευρωπαϊκού πρωταθλήματος ποδοσφαίρου(και ήτανε αδύνατον να μετακινηθεί μιας και αμέσως μετά ξεκινάει στη Ν.Αφρική το Μουντιάλ), οι ημερομηνίες διεξαγωγής για τα events της 55ης Eurovision μετακινήθηκαν μία εβδομάδα μετά. Οπότε ο Α’ ημιτελικός θα γίνει στις 25 Μαίου 2010 ημέρα Τρίτη, ο Β ημιτελικός στις 27 Μαίου και ημέρα Πέμπτη, ενώ ο τελικός στις 29 Μαίου και όπως πάντα ημέρα Σάββατο. Απομένει τώρα να αποφασιστεί και ο χώρος διεξαγωγής, δηλαδή η αρένα αφού δύο στάδια στο Όσλο φέρονται ως υποψήφια: το Oslo Spektrum με χωρητικότητα 9.000 θέσεων και το Telenor Arena in Fornebu με χωρητικότητα 23 000 θέσεων.
